Inspiration

There are many jaw dropping examples of Mediaeval Gothic Architecture scattered across Northern Europe, both intact and in ruin. Within stone’s throw of The Stoneworks we have two wonderful Ruins that illustrate the Gothic architectural principles of ‘height and light’ perfectly; the backdrop to the gardens of the Bishop’s Palace in Wells and the remnants of Glastonbury Abbey.
